If the Destination Clinic is unable to carry out one or more of the treatments it has confirmed, then the Destination Clinic should notify both the Sending Clinic and the patient immediately and preferably well in advance of travel dates to enable the patient to revise travel arrangements accordingly.  It should make every effort to find the patient a suitable alternative treatment slot, either in its clinic or an alternative clinic close by to ensure that the patient’s scheduled treatment can continue unhindered.  Patients are encouraged to take out flexible and refundable travel bookings and to ensure they have appropriate insurance arrangements in place.  Please note that bookings cannot be transferred to an alternative centre. A separate booking would need to be set up on DialysisAway between the Sending Clinic and the new Destination Clinic.
